Sunday morning - during the school year

A lively adult education class is a key part of our Sunday gathering. Such a program has been determined by the SEARCH Institute to be one of the key indicators of whether a congregation is an effective, growing church that makes a difference in peoples’ lives.

Continuing Education

St. John’s fully supports the innovative and nationally recognized Lay School of Ministry offered by the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin. In the past few years we have had more members enrolled than any other congregation in the synod, and we have all benefitted from their growth in knowledge and faith.

Women’s Circles (WELCA)

The women’s organization of St. John’s, known as WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America), includes all women members of St. John’s. Their purpose and mission is to further God’s work locally and around the world, by giving back to God what God has first given us.

They offer two circle opportunities:

  • Naomi / Ruth Circle meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. during the school year in the library.

  • Lois Circle meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. during the school year in the library.

Men’s Master Builder (Lutheran Men In Mission)

This group currently has 8-10 active members. They meet every Wednesday at 2:45 - 3:45 pm in the library. Their study revolves around how specific Scriptures relate to their daily lives. They are always open to new members. For more information about Men's Master Builders and Lutheran Men in Mission click here
