Caring Ministry
“Serve one another with love.” Galatians 5:13
Their mission is to keep the body of the church healthy (physically, mentally and spiritually) and to assist, support and comfort members of the body of Christ in times of crisis.
They have three main branches: New Members, Friends in Need, Grief Support. Ministry members are involved in one or more of these branches; the ministry meets quarterly.
Community & World Ministry
This ministry helps provide for the physical and spiritual needs of God’s people near and far and encourages people to become active in serving those in need both in our community and in the world.
Education Ministry
"For in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith." Galatians 3:26
This ministry educates and provides spiritual time for youth and adults as they grow in their Christian faith. They support people of all ages in faith development and support parents as they pass the faith to the next generation.
Faith Family Ministry
Their mission statement: “To know, love, and follow Christ.”
This ministry equips adults to pass on the Lutheran faith to the next generation. They support people of all ages in continued faith development and encourage growth in spiritual life of all who attend St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Senior and Home Visitation Ministry
This ministry visits the homebound and those in nursing homes and administers communion to them. They also provide monthly communion services at nursing and assisted living homes, and St. John’s housing.
Worship & Music Ministry
This ministry ensures that the worship life of the congregation takes place in an effective and orderly manner. They work collaboratively with pastors, staff, choirs and altar care regarding weekly worship as well as seasonal and festival worship.
Youth Ministry
This ministry’s mission is to encourage and funnel God’s work through our youth into both our community and our country. Youth Ministry is enabling youth to do ministry themselves!
