Welcome.

St. John’s Lutheran Church is a people formed in the waters of Christian baptism to be a fountain of life for all who gather here, overflowing into a river of compassion for the world.

What is the first thing you notice when you walk into a church? The first thing you should encounter in a Christian church is the love of God in Jesus Christ. If that is not plainly visible, then the rest of what happens in there doesn’t really matter. We at St. John’s constantly experience the love of God in Jesus Christ. We try to reflect that love by being a fountain of life for everyone who comes through our doors. We strive to share that love by letting it flow into the community and the world.

St. John’s is not a place for people who are perfect. It is a place to experience forgiveness, renewal, community, love, and hope. Come on in, the water’s fine!

St. John's has parking for those with disabilities in our north parking lot (behind the church). In the far left corner, there is a door with an elevator sign, please enter through this door.

For those who are hard of hearing, St. John's has a T-coil hearing loop system in the worship area. There are also headsets available for use. If you prefer, you may bring your own personal ear buds or headset.

St. John's offers a nursery for children ages 0 to 5.

From September to May there is a paid attendant in the nursery during worship services, Sunday school and adult education hour.
Bethany Shuda has fun things planned for the children in the nursery.

Family conversations about health issues, dying and estate planning are not easy. Faith Family Ministry and the Seniors and Shut-ins Ministry would like to assist with these conversations and have invited professionals to speak at St. John's on these dates:

Sept. 16 - Hulke Funeral Home on funeral pre-planning
Sept. 23 -
Ann Gordon from EC Medical Clinic on health care decisions
Sept. 30 -
Bill Milne from Weld Riley Prenn & Ricci about wills & estate planning

There will be door prizes and a Grand Prize drawing for a restaurant gift card to a person who attends all 3 sessions.

Campus Harvest

ImageOn Sept. 30 and Oct. 7, St. John's will be collecting personal care items such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, razors, etc. and any monetary donations for Campus Harvest at UWEC.

Campus Harvest provides food and toiletries to university students. This year cash donations are matched dollar for pound by Feed My People Food Bank.

Come and join us on this day to help make bereavement gowns, bonnets, wraps and pouches to be distributed to local hospitals for babies who are unable to sustain life.

Media Ministry

St. John's is excited to be part of  the media ministry - "Together In God". We have a wonderful and great opportunity to share with Eau Claire and the surrounding communities our Sunday worship services on both radio and television the first & 3rd Sundays of every month.
