St. John’s Lutheran Church is a people formed in the waters of Christian baptism to be a fountain of life for all who gather here, overflowing into a river of compassion for the world.

What is the first thing you notice when you walk into a church? The first thing you should encounter in a Christian church is the love of God in Jesus Christ. If that is not plainly visible, then the rest of what happens in there doesn’t really matter. We at St. John’s constantly experience the love of God in Jesus Christ. We try to reflect that love by being a fountain of life for everyone who comes through our doors. We strive to share that love by letting it flow into the community and the world.

St. John’s is not a place for people who are perfect. It is a place to experience forgiveness, renewal, community, love, and hope. Come on in, the water’s fine!

St. John's has parking for those with disabilities in our north parking lot (behind the church). In the far left corner, there is a door with an elevator sign, please enter through this door.

For those who are hard of hearing, St. John's has a T-coil hearing loop system in the worship area. There are also headsets available for use. If you prefer, you may bring your own personal ear buds or headset.


Pancake Breakfast

Sunday, February 5th, 8:00 a.m. - Noon

ImageYou are invited to a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by the St John’s Choir with a free-will offering to benefit music director Roxanne Litchfield Holey and accompanist Linda Raney with recent and significant medical expenses.



The coming year is the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. What better time to review what this Reformation was, how it came about, and what it means for us as Christians and as Lutherans today.  Please join us on Sundays, January 8, 15, & 22, as we get an early start on this historic celebration.

We will meet at 9:30am in the Promise room.



Eternal Angel

An Eternal Angel Gown sewing day is set for Saturday, January 21, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Small Assenbly.

Community & World Min. Event

ImageCommunity and World ministry continues the forum from last Spring on the stewardship of God’s creation with a showing and discussion of Leonardo DiCaprio’s new documentary called “Before the Flood”. You are invited to join us on Thursday, January 26, at 6:30 p.m. in the Promise Room for this showing.

Warm beverages and snacks will be available.

St. John's is excited to be part of  the media ministry - "Together In God". We have a wonderful and great opportunity to share with Eau Claire and the surrounding communities our Sunday worship services on both radio and television the first & 3rd Sundays of every month.
